Ramsey Firefighter Bart Hayft fought a courageous 2 ½ year battle with cancer and died at home Wednesday night with friends and family near.

Bart served the communities of Ramsey and Nowthen for 12 years as a paid on-call firefighter and was appointed assistant chief of Station 3 in 2014. We are grateful for his dedication and service to the community. May he rest in peace.

The family’s intent is to keep this as a regional response, therefore a statewide vehicle response is not requested.
