On Sunday, September 26, 2021, the Minnesota Fallen Firefighter Memorial Service will be held at the MN State Capitol. The event is hosted by the Minnesota Fire Service Foundation and honors those who gave their lives to protect their community.
The official program begins at 1:00 pm but there will be events starting earlier with a reading of the Line-of Duty Death (LODD) firefighters. If you can’t attend the in person event, it will also be streamed live on the MN Fire Service Foundation’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/MinnesotaFireServiceFoundation/
The event will include a wreath laying, reading of the honor roll, comments from dignitaries including the Commissioner of Public Safety and President of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, bag pipes and a bell ceremony.
Come join the Minnesota Fire Service in honoring those that paid the ultimate sacrifice and their families.
