Challeen, Marina Gayle DeSteno 16 November, 1992 – 9 October, 2017 Lighting and bridging the best between all those who knew her Marina passed on October 9, 2017 at the age of 24 in a tragic collision while on duty as an Emergency Medical Technician. Preceded in death by her mother, Deborah DeSteno, she is survived by her father and stepmother, Dan and Linda Challeen, and her sister, Miranda Challeen. Marina aspired to be a doctor, and she loved helping and enriching the lives of others through her work in the emergency medical services field. She also volunteered through multiple hospitals and Habitat for Humanity projects. Marina cherished her friends and family, and was deeply loved in return. She will always have a home in our hearts and in the love that we extend to one another. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church (900 Stillwater Rd, Mahtomedi, MN 55115) at 1 PM on Wednesday, October 18, 2017.
