David J. Ganfield age 62 of Rosemount, died peacefully December 17, 2015. Preceded in death by his father Gordon. David was proud to serve his communities as a firefighter for 22 years. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant for Richfield Fire Department, and District Chief and Training Officer for Apple Valley Fire Department. After retiring in 2001, David continued his service to firefighters as President of the Apple Valley Firefighters Relief Association, Secretary of the MN State Fire Department Association and the MN State Volunteer Firefighters Association, and member of the State Auditor’s Fire Relief Association Working Group. David was instrumental in the creation of the Apple Valley Firefighters Memorial at Lebanon Cemetery.
